Business Central uses named-user, subscription-based licensing. Every user needs their own license; sharing is not permitted.

Module Highlights

Financial Management — General ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, budgeting, multi-currency, cost accounting. The foundation of every BC implementation.

Sales & Service — Quotes, orders, invoicing, returns, pricing rules. Premium adds service contracts, SLAs, and loaner management.

Purchasing & Payables — Vendor management, POs, three-way matching, approval workflows, electronic payments.

Inventory & Warehouse — Multi-location stock, serial/lot tracking, bin management, FIFO/weighted average/standard cost valuation, landed costs.

Manufacturing (Premium only) — Multi-level BOMs, routings, production orders, MRP/MPS, capacity planning, sub-contracting.

Exam Tip

Manufacturing and Service Management are Premium-only. This is one of the most frequently tested licensing distinctions on MB-800.
